This is what the women in The Outgrown Identity Club are learning and practicing. You can too! Registration for the next cohort is closing in less than a week, read about it here or send me an email if you’d like to talk about it.
Because here’s the thing … living in default mode, where old patterns and outdated beliefs run the show, will never lead you to an aligned or fulfilling next chapter.
Like Paulina, one of the women in the current cohort of “The Club.”
After decades of pouring her time, energy, and heart into raising four incredible kids, she’s now beginning to create a life that centers what matters most to her.
Instead of living on auto-pilot and saying yes to everyone and everything—which she so often used to do—she’s now checking in and asking herself: Is this right for me?
Whether it’s an invitation to a dance party or a work opportunity, Paulina is retraining her brain and nervous system to slow down and say no when that’s what’s true.
Is it easy for her? Not always.
Is she doing it perfectly? Nope.
Is she making progress? Heck yes!
She is bravely reclaiming herself, and that’s changing everything!
Women like Paulina (and maybe you too) have often found themselves over-giving, accommodating others, and abandoning their own needs and desires to keep everyone else happy, safe, and comfortable. Many have learned that being the “good girl” is what keeps everything okay. And, more deeply, what keeps them loved.
So of course, the tendency to say yes is there.
No doubt, the neural pathways are well-worn.
And for sure, the muscle memory is strong.
That’s why questioning and doing what is really authentic for you can feel so hard.
And, it’s also why it matters so much!
Because when you’re in a transition—whether it’s an empty nest, a change in careers, perimenopause, moving homes, letting go of “people pleasing”, or the longing to create your next chapter that feels more like you—your authenticity is exactly what propels you to move forward.
When you are authentic, you begin to feel more like yourself again.
But if you keep living in default mode, you risk repeating old patterns and staying stuck in your old dissatisfying chapter.
If you’re done carrying the emotional weight of compromising yourself to keep everyone else comfortable, or just tired of all the “shoulds” that don’t feel like yours …
The Outgrown Identity Club may be for you.
In this online group coaching circle, you’ll break your cycle of inauthenticity and make choices that are aligned with who you are now. From there, you’ll be empowered and motivated to create your next chapter that feels more true, more grounded, and more like you!
We begin in less than two weeks and you can read about it out here, or send me an email—I’d be happy to connect with you about it.
