My beloved Dad, an entrepreneur himself, has always been a champion of my work. He’s given me wise business counsel, encouragement, and unwavering support throughout my journey.
But back in the day, when I told him I was thinking of selling my Kids Yoga business he said, “You’re crazy! You have a good thing going!!”
He was right.
On paper, I’d built what most would call success. I had good income, passive revenue, a global impact, a solid team.
But deep down inside, I knew it was time for me to sell.
Because after decades of giving my all—building, hustling, showing up for everyone—I found myself yearning for something else. I realized, my passion was shifting toward coaching, something that felt even more true to who I was becoming.
It was like I was living in an outgrown identity—one that once fit but didn’t anymore.
Maybe you can relate?
Maybe you’ve had the business, career, house, money, relationship—that has worked for many years—but now, something inside of you is saying, “This isn’t it anymore.”
Maybe you’re ready for your next chapter … one with new purpose, more meaning, or simply a truer reflection of who you are meant to be.
If this is you too, it’s normal. It’s natural.
For so many women, this awakening arrives when you notice your own needs have been quietly neglected.
Sometimes, it takes looking at all you’ve built to ask: “What do I truly want? And, what would it look like to live more in alignment with my true self?”
Sometimes, it’s noticing the signals that are unfulfilling, like …
- Low energy or chronic exhaustion from trying to sustain something that is no longer aligned.
- Sadness, numbness, or that “something is missing” feeling, even in moments that should feel joyful.
- A persistent sense of restlessness or longing for “more,” despite visible success.
- Stress, burnout, sleep issues from an over-active, dissatisfied mind.
- Erosion of confidence, creativity, and inner trust as you override your true desires to stay “on track.”
- Mourning lost time or identities—and feeling guilt for wanting change when others might not understand.
If you see yourself in any of these experiences, you’re not alone. It’s okay to have doubts and fear. It’s part of the process as your highest wisdom is calling you to step towards your next chapter.
And truthfully, much of what I’ve just described was my own story and for me, not wanting to disappoint my Dad made those feelings even more complex.
Good news!
Once I gave myself permission to honor what was truly mine, things shifted.
With heart-to-heart conversations, and sharing my truth, my Dad totally got and supported my decision.
The weight I’d been carrying started to lift and I moved into action with selling my biz.
If you’re finding yourself in that “not this anymore” space—take heart. This is your soul asking for something truer and more aligned.
It’s beautiful.
It’s tender.
It’s something you do not have to go at alone.
- Imagine waking up each day feeling clear and grounded in the woman that you are becoming.
- Envision how it feels to live in alignment with your own deepest truth, honoring your needs.
- Picture the possibility of transitioning into your next chapter with confidence and empowerment—no matter what others think is best for you.
This is the work I do with women in The Outgrown Identity Club.
