That saying, “Rome wasn’t built in a day” is so much more than a cliché. It’s truth.
It makes me think of what happens when a woman begins to outgrow who she’s been and is ready to build her next, most-meaningful chapter.
Because just like Rome …
You can’t shed old roles overnight, skip the in-between passage where real transformation happens, or bypass designing an aligned, authentic vision that’s rooted in your values.
No matter how restless you feel, your next chapter demands time, patience, and commitment!
I know what you are thinking, because I have been there too …
“I don’t have that kind of time.”
“I can’t blow up my life right now.”
“I should be able to figure this out on my own.”
High-achievers like us hate risking time, relevance, income, or letting people down.
But your transition into your next chapter is not a box to check. You are in a sacred rewiring process … and it takes time.
When you hurry your transition, you risk old patterns, misaligned choices, regret, and burnout—leaving you spinning and exhausted.
When you don’t take time to do the inner work, you stay tethered to others people’s expectations and pressures.
When you don’t plan a solid foundation for your next chapter, you second guess yourself and never go for the life that is calling you.
So, take your time and build like a Roman.
Because when you navigate your outgrown identity and transition with the time, patience, and commitment it deserves—you can absolutely create a Soul aligned next chapter that’s joyful and purposeful.
This is exactly what I coach accomplished women to do in The Outgrown Identity Club, building with Roman intention, not frantic hustling.
If this resonates for you, send me a message to connect about this work. I have private spots available and we have another women’s cohort forming now.
And remember, … Rome wasn’t built in a day, neither is your next chapter.
“Being Type A and somewhat of a control freak(!) I learned to embrace the unknown and trust that given time, my journey would reveal itself. JodiGolda guided me to the realization that sometimes we have to slow down in order to speed up. Slowing down allowed me to think and dream and determine what’s important.
During my private coaching work with JG, I was able to set long term personal goals and develop a strategy to reach them. She encouraged me to find my voice and in doing so I found myself.” –Laurie
