Just Because It’s a New Year

January 6, 2026

I’m JodiGolda

Two weeks of going slow and offline have me connecting to something important: we are not meant to slam from deep winter rest into “new year, new you” overnight.

Our souls, our bodies, and our next chapters need more space, time, and gentleness than that.

Just because it’s a new year, doesn’t mean you have to …

—Hurry into setting pressure-filled goals that might be someone else’s and not really yours.

—Pretend you’re excited when you are actually uncertain.

—Map out your year-long plan when your inner world is mid-molting.

—Push yourself to do-do-do when your body and nervous system are asking for rest and listening.

—Force clarity about your next chapter when you’re still in the mysterious, in-between of your own inner winter.

Because, sometimes it’s not just winter on the calendar.

So many women in The Outgrown Identity Club are in an inner winter too … not quite who they were, not yet who they’re becoming. Your energy is lower, clarity is fuzzier, and there’s often a lot more questions than answers.

Like nature, in Winter, the trees don’t rush to bloom. They rest. Their roots deepen. Things compost. Life reorganizes in the dark before anything new emerges.

You are allowed to be the same.

Really, if you notice that you don’t want to sprint into 2026, nothing is wrong with you. You’re not doing it wrong, being lazy, or missing a moment.

You’re in season. And there is so much quiet possibility in seasons like this, even if you can’t see it all yet.

If it feels supportive, you might pause and ask yourself: What is my system actually needing in this inner winter—more doing, or more listening?

This is exactly the season The Outgrown Identity Club™ was created for.

It’s a four-month, intimate group for women who know they are outgrowing an old identity and don’t want to rush into their next chapter, but do want a container with soul, sisterhood, support, and strategy for while they are in-between.

With a proven framework of four-pillars for intentionally navigating transition, you’ll …

  • Release and honor what no longer serves you, without blowing up your life overnight.
  • Root you in the messy middle with nervous system and community care, so you feel more grounded, more connected, and a lot less crazy.
  • Begin listening for and start shaping what’s next in a way that is authentic, sustainable, and truly yours.

We begin January 31st.

If this speaks to your heart, and you sense you are in an inner winter and don’t want to navigate it alone, send me an email and I’ll share the details about The Outgrown Identity Club.
