Because in a world where business leaders are constantly asked to put themselves out there—with vulnerability, edge, and a whole lot of uncertainty—there comes a sacred moment when you know your work matters. When you know your offerings have value. And, when you know your online course is worthy of the exact price tag you place on it.
That, my friend, is worth celebrating.
Introducing … my client Kate.
Last year, Kate ran her first ever online health cleanse program. She hit her goal for enrollment—amazing! But in order to fill the course, she offered “scholarships” to nearly everyone.
The result? A mixed bag.
She was proud that her program filled, but internally deflated that she had undercharged. In truth, she didn’t just discount her course—she discounted her own power. Her thought leadership. Her self-worth.
And that misalignment had a cost.
Yes, it brought in fewer dollars. But it also brought less energy to her work, less confidence in her leadership, and fewer ideal clients who truly valued her.
Thankfully, Kate’s story didn’t end there.
Over the last year, through our private coaching—woven with trauma-informed somatic practices, inner child healing, and gentle work of befriending her fears—and her devoted commitment to deep inner work, she began to shift.
- We unpacked her money story and rewired her belief system with more helpful thoughts.
- She journaled and reflected on prompts to uncover what was really holding her back.
- She had heartfelt conversations with her partner that helped her stand in her power.
And then … she launched the same program this Spring.
Only this time, everything was different.
She filled it again—yes!—and she charged exactly what she knew it was worth. A higher rate than last year, with zero discounts, no unnecessary scholarships, and absolutely no shrinking.
On our most recent coaching call, Kate and I celebrated:
- Her confidence in claiming the value of her work
- Her grounded, embodied leadership
- Her fierce reclaiming of her self-worth
This is what happens when you are Leading with Love.
And when you are not or when you undercharge—or lower your rates to “make it work” for someone else—you’re not just cutting your income. You’re creating a ripple effect that impacts your energy, your confidence, your alignment, and your sustainability.
When you undercharge, you may feel …
- Undervalued or unseen—as if your deep wisdom isn’t recognized
- Resentful—toward clients, your business, even yourself
- Disconnected from your purpose—drained, depleted, out of flow
- Trapped in scarcity—because the numbers don’t support the life and business you long for
- Burnt out—because you’re overgiving, overdelivering, overcompensating
The truth?
Undercharging is rarely just about pricing.
It’s a reflection of self-worth.
And when you shift that, everything changes.
Just like Kate, you can transform your story. You can do the brave, deep, inner work, retrain your brain to honor your value, and transform to show up as the leader you truly want to be.
Have you ever offered a discount and later felt off—or even resentful?
You’re not alone. Send me a note if this resonates—I’m here for the tender parts of your journey too.
